OUR PURPOSE

Let's Change the Culture, Shall We?

If we have learned one thing during the COVID-19 pandemic, it's that healthcare providers are human beings too. They need rest, food, and manageable stress levels. Some need more support based on their "normal" day. Physician assistant students are no exception.

That is why we are committed to using dozens of methods that will reach every student in its support, while teaching the PA-S valuable skills that can be applied when they become a PA-C. Because we know that in order to serve patients to the best of our ability, we need to ensure the provider is thriving too.

So what are we waiting for?

MISSION & VISION

Primary prevention to burnout and mental health crises

Provide resources and tools to build resilience within the medical field

Create positive and supportive programs that engage the PA student community

Increase overall quality of life

Create a system that utilizes student feedback, incorporates PA faculty, the Dean of Students, and Counseling Center to implement necessary changes within the structure and culture of the MCPHS master's PA program that is mindful to students’ well being, while also offering support for those students via on-campus and off-campus opportunities. Through these events, we strive to create community and provide sustainable ways to combat feelings of burnout, inadequacy, and reduce mental health crises for all three cohorts.
